Francis Dondo Ekpo came to the USA from Nigeria. Francis was a religious young man and tried to live his life with honor. Life was not easy for him here in the US but Francis was very ambitious and would work any job he could to survive and help his family. He left Minnesota and moved to Seattle, WA to accomplish his goals. Francis liked taking classes and studying. He liked to learn new things and was constantly on his computer looking up things. Swimmimng was an activity he immensely enjoyed.
Francis met Amber Burton while in Minnesota and together they welcomed a son, Christian, in 2004. Although Francis would have liked to see his son, Christian more, he was only able to come to Minnesota for Christian's birthdays. The joy on his son's face when he was surprised at his bus stop, dad waiting in the bushes to jump out and surprise him was pure joy for anyone watching. Francis leaves his only child, Christian, mother, Paulina, sister, Margaret, brothers and a host of nieces and nephews.
We will miss Francis dearly for the amazing person he was, but are happy he left a little of himself behind in his son.
