Shaun Struss

Shaun Struss passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2022. He was 47. Shaun was born on July 16, 1975 to Terri Struss and John Lovsey in Seattle,WA. After losing his mom when he was 15 he endured years of struggles. He attended Job Corp where he became a certified welder and obtained his GED. He became a first time father at the young age of 19 and at times worked two jobs to support his family. He was a proud and devoted father and was a very hard worker.  His love for animals was evident to everyone who knew him. He performed life saving aid on his dog Angel when she was a puppy. She was born in a laundry basket and her head became stuck and she stopped breathing.  He resuscitated her. His dog Tia was also very important to him. He was very protective of them both. Despite his struggles he tried very hard to be a good father and grandfather.  At the time of his death he faced homelessness but still managed to work and started making plans for his future. Unfortunately, his future plans would not come to pass. For that, we are all devastated. 

He is survived by his children Aaron and Sarah Struss, and Emily Owen; grandson Silas Struss; sisters Brenna Madrid, Ashley Bougie, and Lacey Beard; brother Devon McGinley; father; paternal grandmother; many aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandfather.
